"La  Merce" Festival is probably the most emblematic party in Barcelona-
A religious celebration which last around five days just to commemorate to "La Mare de Deu" ( The Mother of God), patron saint of Barcelona.
This party mark`s the entry of the third station The Autum (Fall), and is very famous in the whole community of Cataluña (Catalunya), if you are thinking to arrive to Barcelona this days, so you are in lucky because you`ll find with a celebration which is very complicate to compare and to find in any place in the world.
Within all the famous activities progamed, there are some you can not miss, these are "los desfiles de gigantes, desfiles de figuras cabezudas,
los correfocs (an street show with gunpowder, fireworks), los castelleres (Human Towers) and obviously the typical catalan dance (La Sardana).
